Gashuna Coffee is an Ethiopian coffee company that was founded on the ideal passion for everything coffee. We believe coffee is nature’s greatest gift that connects all which pours into dedication to adding value to authentic Ethiopian Arabica coffee at every step and sharing it with the world.

The name Gashuna “ጋሹና”, is an Awi word that means “thankful.” We are thankful for our customers, our partners, our farmers, and our environment. We are committed to sourcing our coffee from the best beans in Ethiopia and roasting them with care. We believe that coffee is more than just a drink; it is a way to connect with people and celebrate the beauty of life.

A 35+ Years Journey

In 2021, Gashuna Coffee launched its advanced processing facility, marking a crucial step in exporting value-added coffee globally. While Gashuna represents our family’s second generation, our green coffee expertise spans over 35 years, primarily within the local market.

Beyond coffee, our ventures include the Gashuna Hotel, which has maintained a rating above 2 stars for nearly eight years, and involvement in the tannery business. Hailing from the vibrant Amhara region of Ethiopia, our family’s values are deeply rooted in the positive traditions of our Awi upbringing. The Awi community is renowned for its strong sense of community and values rooted in gratitude. As children of this vibrant culture, we carry forward the positive ethos of Awi into every aspect of our coffee-making process.
